Mariet Venter graduated from Stellenbosch University and spent the following year completing her community service at Mary Moodley Memorial Clinic in Gauteng. During this time she worked closely with community members diagnosed with, and families affected by, Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, Intellectual Disabilities, Dyslexia, Global Developmental Delays, AD(H)D, Autism and other learning difficulties.
Mariet then returned to the Western Cape and gained experience at two well established practices in Hout Bay and Rondebosch before opening her own practice in Somerset West.
Mariet has a passion for working with children ages 0 to 12 years as well as all stakeholders involved (parents, teachers and other professionals) following a holistic approach. She is Ayres Sensory Integration® and DIRFloortime® certified, both areas of specialization allowing her the capacity to work with children with the following developmental difficulties:

- Social and emotional difficulties (low self esteem, emotional reactivity, immaturity, poor social interactions, behavioral difficulties)
- Delayed independence in activities of daily development (toileting, dressing, eating, play participation).
- Attention and concentration difficulties
